The art of the Sway
I don’t know how many of you like to do Yoga. Maybe you have good results from it.
I tend to be off balance, so I don’t like to practice falling into a heap very much. (Busy Mind) I found this technique to be better suited for many things. It improves motor function, concentration, and being more present and aware. The Sway.
Stand up where you can be undisturbed for about an hour. Then you can increase the time if you want. Stand on a yoga mat if you have one, but not needed. Though a colorful one couldn’t hurt, especially one with orange colors in it, it energizes the mind.
Turn on some music you can connect too, like a mindful spa app or even trance or techno music and make sure it’s on loop. Make sure you can connect too it. Relax your mind, and stand with your feet slightly apart, not a power stance if you know what those are, this is not about that so have a relaxed stance. Close your eyes and listen to your music, go into the “zone” and when you feel you are ready, begin to sway back and forth. Don’t force yourself to sway, and if possible, beforehand set a timer to 30 minutes and sway lightly side to side non forcefully. Keep your mind on the “zone” and your attention on the music.
